This lovely parlor, furnished to a c. 1860s appearance, is not in a museum house. Dow Farm is lived in today while appearing much as it did 160 years ago.
A lot of people and preservation firms contributed to the creation of Restoring Your Historic House, The Comprehensive Guide for Homeowners but no one contributed more than photographer David Clough! Dave drove from Maine to New Mexico to photograph the 13 featured houses that separate the how-to chapters. Thanks to his gorgeous photographs, the reader can draw inspiration from the wonderful restoration work others have achieved. This image of the parlor at Dow Farm is a beautiful example. https://www.facebook.com/davecloughphoto/
