His stunning photos of “Kyu Hyuga Bettei” designed by German Bauhaus architect, Bruno Taut (1880-1938) are included in the newly published “Sir Banister Fletcher’s Global History of Architecture.” The villa, which combines traditional Japanese and Western Modernist elements was completed in 1936 and is Taut’s only work in Japan.
“Sir Banister Fletcher’s Global History of Architecture” has been in print since 1896. It has been updated with new editions regularly and is considered a classic reference volume on the subject.
