An intact bathroom of the Victorian era still in use. Likely installed in the 1890’s, this bathroom is located in the C. Sydney and Emily Smith House, which was built in 1877. During the restoration of the house, several new bathrooms were added for daily use and this time capsule was left intact for occasional use.
The house is one of the 13 Featured Houses photographed by noted architectural photographer David Clough and presented between the how-to chapters of “Restoring Your Historic House, The Comprehensive Guide for Homeowners.”
The 720 page award-winning and best-selling hardcover book is available in bookstores nationwide and from online retailers.
Signed and personalized copies are available directly from the author in the shop on this page, Shop – Your Historic House.
