Before and After: Selma Mansion.

These photos are a great way to kick off the festive season. Historic homes really shine during the holidays, reminding us that our traditions are drawn from generations past.

The house is Selma Mansion, in Leesburg, VA, a 1902 Colonial Revival style house. It served as a home for several generations and then as a commercial event facility, hosting weddings, etc., before becoming vacant and neglected.

After several decades of abandonment, it has recently been beautifully restored by a couple as their home. More information about the house, the owners, and the restoration can be found at https://selmamansionrebirth.com/.

“Restoring Your Historic House, The Comprehensive Guide for Homeowners,” is filled with information to help historic house lovers restore their homes. Whether you have a small millworker cottage or a grand mansion, this book is filled with the information you need to tackle the work ahead.

The 720 page award-winning and best-selling hardcover book is available in bookstores nationwide and from online retailers.

Signed and personalized copies are available directly from the author in our shop, https://yourhistorichouse.com/shop/.
