The Wolf-Schlesigner House, now the St Francisville Inn. This eclectic Victorian era house combining elements of the Gothic Revival and Italianate styles was built in St. Francisville, Louisiana, between 1878 and 1880 for the Morris Wolf family. It was sold to Aaron Schlesinger in 1903 and remained in his family until 1954. It was later converted to apartments and eventually abandoned for an extended period.
In 1981, Dick & Florence Filet purchased the property and after a three-year restoration opened it as a bed and breakfast inn. Houses combining two or more architectural styles like this one are not uncommon. They were sometimes built that way and sometimes had elements from other styles added later.
