A Stick Style House

A Stick Style house with Gothic Revival and Italianate touches.

Named the “Stick Style” by the great architectural historian Vincent Scully, these mid-to-late 19th century houses were never particularly common. The characteristic trim elements of the style create panelized walls and create the effect of exposed framing in some panels. This is a restrained example of the style.
