As 2020 Fades…

Your Historic House wishes everyone a very happy New Year as 2020 fades and 2021 approaches.

May the coming year be filled with joy and success in whatever you endeavor to accomplish.

While 2020 has been exceptionally challenging on many levels, I am grateful to the thousands of people who have purchased a copy of “Restoring Your Historic House” and the more than 65,000 followers of the Restoring Your Historic House pages on Facebook and Instagram.

In 2020, our Facebook following has grown from 8k to 42.5k and Instagram has grown from 2.5k to 22.5k. The most popular Facebook post of the year was seen by more than 2.5 million people.

I have tried to maintain a positive and helpful outlook in creating content for these pages and have been pleased to see positivity reflected back in the vast majority of the tens of thousands of comments made on posts during this year filled with fear, strife, and discord in the world around us.

We all need places to find inspiration and hope, and I will continue to do my best to make this one of them.

“Restoring Your Historic House, The Comprehensive Guide for Homeowners” is a 720 page award-winning and best-selling hardcover book is available in bookstores and from online retailers.
