Before & After ~ These photos, courtesy of Selma Mansion Rebirth, are a great way to kick off the festive season. Historic homes really shine during the holidays, reminding us that our traditions are drawn from past generations.
The house is Selma Mansion, a 1902 Colonial Revival style house in Leesburg, Virginia. It served as a home for several generations and then as a commercial event facility, hosting weddings, etc., before becoming vacant and neglected.
After several decades of abandonment, it has been beautifully restored by a couple as their home. More information about the house, the owners, and the restoration can be found at selmamansionrebirth.com.
“Restoring Your Historic House, The Comprehensive Guide for Homeowners” is filled with information to help historic house lovers restore their homes. Whether you have a small millworker cottage or a grand mansion, this book has the information you need to tackle the work ahead.
Signed and personalized copies of the award-winning and bestselling 720-page hardcover book are available from the author in our online bookshop at YourHistoricHouse.com/shop/.
